Please Note: If your Dojo is integrated with your POS, you can split your bill when using Pay at Table. If you have enabled non-integrated payments as well, you can use this feature as part of a non-integrated sale.
There are different options for your customers to pay when they are ready to settle their bill:
- Paying the bill in full
- Splitting the bill equally
- Splitting the bill by a custom amount
- Processing refunds
Before splitting a bill, you will need to enable bill splitting on your Dojo:
- Tap 'Settings'
- a) Tap the 'Bill Splitting' toggle to switch it to 'On'
b) If you have integrated payments enabled as well, tap 'Non-Integrated Payments' then tap the 'Bill Splitting' toggle to switch it to 'On'
Paying the bill in full
- Enter an amount and press ‘Confirm’
- Open up the relevant table number
- Tap ‘Proceed to payment’, and choose ‘Pay in full’
- If you have gratuity enabled, the customer can add a tip amount at the next screen
- The payment screen will then appear for the customer to tap or insert their card.
Splitting the bill equally
- Enter an amount and press ‘Confirm’
- Tap ‘Proceed to payment’, and choose ‘Equal split’
- Enter the number of payees to split the bill between, and tap ‘Confirm’
- If you have gratuity enabled, the customer can add a tip amount at the next screen
- The payment screen will then appear, for the customer to tap or insert their card
- You’ll see a summary page that shows the outstanding balance
- Tap ‘Next payment’
- Once you’ve taken all the payments, the summary page will show that the bill has been paid in full
Splitting the bill by custom amount
- Enter an amount and tap ‘Confirm’
- Choose ‘Custom split’
- Type in the amount to pay and ‘Confirm’
- If you have gratuity enabled, the customer can add a tip amount at the next screen
- The payment screen will then appear, for the customer to tap or insert their card
- You’ll see a summary page that shows the outstanding balance
- Tap ‘Next payment’
- Once you’ve taken all the payments, the summary page will show that the bill has been paid in full
Processing refunds
You’ll need to manually process refunds from your card machine. To do this, click the menu bar, select ‘Refund’ and follow the steps on-screen.
